Spirit of Play

Welcome friends, lovers, cronies, baseball fanatics, pets, card sharks, idling rickshaw drivers, gods who deign to look down on this mortal world, and all others... welcome to the website for Spirit of Play. We play pop so you don't have to. What could be simpler?

To kick things off, two bits of news for you:

The band plays live at Bar Rumba on Shaftesbury Avenue this Friday, September 11 (see right for details). It's been over a whole month since our last gig, so - oh boy! - are we excited about this one. New songs will be played. Old songs will be treated appallingly. It would be awfully sweet to see some friendly faces there. Dave? Lucy? Vespasian? Anyone?

Secondly, we've been recording again. After the joy of geekpop earlier in the year, it's a pleasure to release into the wild/myspace the mp3 of "beach café" by Mr William Eaves. Enjoy...
