Spirit of Play write songs about a lot of things, but science is a topic we especially like.


Songs like Second Law explore entropy, Wave & Particle covers physics, Chromosome is about love and Darwin...

Below are a few science & music faves. Mostly outer space freaks, other tunes to follow!

The Voyager Golden Record (1972)

Kronos Quartet/Terry Riley - Sun Rings (2002)
The work includes sounds collected by University of Iowa physicist Don Gurnett. Working with NASA, Gurnett used various spacecraft to capture signals from Uranus and beyond, transmit them to Earth and convert them into sound in his lab. http://www.kronosquartet.org/SR/index.html
